It Support / Security Specialist
Positive Alternative Radio, Inc. is searching for applicants for a full-time, IT Support / Security Specialist based in Blacksburg, Virginia. We desire candidates who are passionate about their work and who strive to bring excellence to everything that they do.
PAR broadcasts in the mid-Atlantic region with five brands of non-commercial, Christian music radio. We are focused on clear, honest communication and building a culture where team members feel valued and appreciated. Location: Based in Blacksburg, VA.
Travel: Some travel required. Most travel within 2-3 hours.
On-call: 7-days a week for emergency situations.
Duties:
· Maintain computer systems including repairing and replacing PCs.
· Administering computer systems antivirus & software security updates
· Administering computer network hardware and software
· Administering IT systems including servers, remote access, & email systems.
· Administration of VoIP phone systems
· Troubleshooting of computer hardware and software
· Assist engineering & technical staff in other areas of engineering
· Perform other duties as assigned by management
Skills required:
· Computer troubleshooting skills for Windows and MacOS environments
· Ability to set up hardware and install software
· Data collection and reporting
· Hardware maintenance and repair best practices
· Problem solving abilities
· Patience and active listening skills
· Hands-on experience in IT systems and networking
· Network security best practices
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $50,000.00 – $55,000.00 per year
COVID-19 considerations: Offices are closed to the general public due to COVID-19 protocols.
